ANNOUNCEMENT: IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW CONTROL MECHANISM FOR THE IMPORTATION OF WASTE PLASTIC (HS CODE 3915)

Please be informed that effective from 1 July 2025, the control mechanism for the importation of waste plastic (HS Code 3915) will shift from the issuance of Approved Permits by JPSPN to the Certificate of Approval (CoA) mechanism issued by SIRIM, as appointed by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI).

ANNOUNCEMENT: IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW CONTROL MECHANISM FOR THE IMPORTATION OF WASTE PLASTIC (HS CODE 3915)

Please be informed that effective from 1 July 2025, the control mechanism for the importation of waste plastic (HS Code 3915) will shift from the issuance of Approved Permits by JPSPN to the Certificate of Approval (CoA) mechanism issued by SIRIM, as appointed by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI).

This change is in accordance with the Cabinet’s decision dated 8 January 2025 and is gazetted under the Customs (Prohibition of Imports) (Amendment) Order 2025 [P.U.(A) 143/2025], which will come into effect on 1 July 2025.

To further clarify these changes, Dagang Net is organizing a half-day online awareness session as per the following detail:

DNeX appeals High Court’s decision on Dagang Net

Cyberjaya, 9 December 2025 – Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”), in consultation with its external legal counsel, has filed an appeal to the Court of Appeal against the High Court decision handed down on 5 December 2025 on its wholly-owned subsidiary Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd (“Dagang Net”).
