NOTIFICATIONS FROM JABATAN KASTAM DIRAJA MALAYSIA – BUDGET 2021

We wish to inform you that due to Malaysian Budget 2021 that will be tabled in Parliament on the 6th November 2020 at 1600 hours, there is a possibility that new Customs Order and Subsidiary Law will be gazetted, effective from 1600 hours on the 6th November 2020.

To facilitate the above, all duty/tax payments and process of releasing goods in any legal place or private jetty will be suspended from 1600 hours – 1800 hours on 6 November 2020, with the exception for perishable and personal hand carry items.

In the event there are changes to duties/taxes for the yet to be released goods after 1600 hours by Customs officers, the new duty rates will be applicable to the affected goods.
