“The PAA is an important regional alliance as it promotes an environment where businesses from its participating economies can look forward to uninterrupted cross-border trading, with ready acceptance of cross-border approvals and certification policy, secure and reliable paperless trade and transactions, and the convenience of working with the alliance as a single point of contact,” he said.

Kuala Lumpur, 7 April 2015 – Dagang NeXchange Berhad (formerly known as TIME Engineering Berhad) will host the 49th Pan Asian E-Commerce Alliance (”PAA”) Steering Committee Meeting, which will take place in Putrajaya from 16 to 17 April 2015.

The PAA is an alliance formed by 11 service providers that are authorised by Customs and other trade regulatory agencies in their respective economies, and provide secure, trusted, reliable and value-adding IT infrastructure and services to facilitate trade globally.

Through its subsidiary company Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd, which is a member of the PAA, DNeX will be hosting the two-day event expected to be attended by key representatives from the alliance’s 11 members.

According to En Zainal Abidin Jalil, Group Managing Director of DNeX, the company is honoured to host the event, which is a regional cooperation or initiative that serves as an effective platform for members to discuss pertinent matters pertaining to cross-border trade as well as knowledge sharing.

Moreover, he said this augurs well with the recently announced Logistics and Trade Facilitation Masterplan, which focuses on improving the productivity and competitiveness of the industry to help increase trade, business efficiency and economic growth.

“The last time we hosted this auspicious event was in 2011 and we are excited to welcome back PAA members to Malaysia, and hope that we will have a fruitful meeting towards putting in more improvements and efficiency in cross-border trade,” he added.
