Kuala Lumpur, 20 September 2016 – Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”), through wholly-owned subsidiary company Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd, has received the award of contract extension from the Government of Malaysia for the National Single Window (“NSW”) for Trade Facilitation.

The contract extension is for a period of two years commencing from 25 September 2016 until 24 September 2018.

Under the contract extension, the service charge to be imposed by DNeX will remain unchanged at 75 sen per kilobyte for Government Agencies and 80 sen per kilobyte for the private sector, and RM5 per approved permit and Certificate of Origin application.

“We offer our deepest appreciation to the Government of Malaysia namely the Ministry of Finance and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department for their continued confidence in us,” said Datuk Samsul Husin, Executive Deputy Chairman of DNeX, and also Executive Chairman of Dagang Net.

“DNeX has been the operator of the NSW for Trade Facilitation since its launch in 2009 and backed by more than 27 years of experience – in terms of knowledge, expertise and operational know-how – in offering e-commerce services for Trade Facilitation, we have the edge to deliver and fulfill our role as a key facilitator in Malaysia’s trading economy,” he said.

The company is also equally excited and committed to continue undertaking the NSW for Trade Facilitation, which helps expedite the cargo clearance process, and reduce cost and time of doing business, said En Zainal Abidin Jalil, Group Managing Director of DNeX.

“This will definitely contribute positively to Malaysia’s trade efficiency and global competitiveness, and ultimately boost the country’s ranking as a trading nation,” Zainal added.

Under the NSW for Trade Facilitation, six core services are provided namely eDeclare, ePermit, ePermitSTA, ePCO, eManifest and ePayment.
