REVISED - POSTPONEMENT NOTICE: UPDATE OF THE TARIFF RATES FOR EXPANSION OF THE SALES AND SERVICE TAX (SST) SCOPE

Please be informed that, based on information from the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, the implementation of the updated tariff rates related to the expansion of the SST scope, which was originally scheduled for 1 June 2025, has been postponed.

The new tariff rates will now take effect on 1 July 2025 instead of 1 June 2025.

ANNOUNCEMENT: UPDATE OF THE TARIFF RATES FOR EXPANSION OF THE SALES AND SERVICE TAX (SST) SCOPE

Please be informed that the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) in the preparation to update the tariff rates for the expansion of the Sales and Service Tax (SST) scope to be used in both Sistem Maklumat Kastam (SMK) and the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) systems. The tariff rate update will take effect from 1st June 2025.

In preparation of the above, please take note of the following:

1. Dagang Net have already instructed the business partners for their readiness to accommodate the requirements on their solutions to their users.

2. All declarations involving K1, K9, CSI, and CS9 are to use the PDK 2022 (10-digit tariff code) with the updated SST rates, effective from 1 June 2025.
