We welcome inclusion of measures outlined in the revised Budget 2023 aimed at accelerating implementation of digitalisation in businesses and the Government.

These include the allocation of RM100 million under the Digitisation Grant Scheme for small and medium enterprises (“SMEs”) to support business automation and digitisation. In addition, the RM1 billion facility under Bank Negara Malaysia will incentivise SMEs to automate and digitalise their processes and operations.

This is supplemented by the establishment of Pasukan Petugas Khas Reformasi Agensi (“STAR”), which will be chaired by the Chief Secretary to the Government that will pave the way for digital technology adoption across the Government’s services, thus reducing bureaucracy or red tape throughout its services and processes.

These measures will hopefully further facilitate in getting the country ready for a digital transformation underpinned by the Fourth Industrial Revolution (“IR 4.0”), an inevitable phase of industrial revolution that is set to change the way we live and work, and business landscape.

We can leverage on digitalisation as a key strategy to achieve long-term productivity in the country in efforts to speed up the country’s journey to become a high-income economy. Digitalisation in the Government, for example, can help reduce bureaucratic red tape and improve efficiency while preventing leakages and wastages as well as improving government revenues in multiple spectrums.

As we move in a fast-paced technology era, digital transformation is eminent across every industry and market, leveraging emerging technologies to seize opportunities in new and existing markets for improved products, services, and operations. Hence, modification in business processes and improvement in customer experiences should meet the evolving business environment and requirements to increase value through innovation.

We believe DNeX can contribute to this nation-building initiative to expedite Malaysia’s economic growth, capitalising on our capabilities as well as breadth and depth of offerings and technologies.
