Kuala Lumpur, 15 February 2017 – Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”), through subsidiary company MyCall Gateway Sdn Bhd, has been appointed as the Service Provider for the provision of eWork Permit System.

The appointment is from Bukti Megah Sdn Bhd that operates the One Stop Centre for recruitment and management of foreign workers under the purview of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Malaysia.
Under the contract, DNeX will provide consultancy, advice and services as the Technology Partner and Solution Provider for the eWork Permit System for the rehiring programme of illegal foreign workers undertaken by Bukti Megah involving foreign workers without permits from 15 countries.

The contract is effective for a period of one year from 15 February 2017 and will be automatically renewed on a yearly basis unless the contract is terminated. Bukti Megah will pay a service fee of RM30.00, subject to six per cent of Goods & Services Tax, to DNeX for each transaction of eWork Permit.

“We offer our deepest appreciation to our partner Bukti Megah the opportunity to provide the eWork Permit System,” said Datuk Samsul Husin, Executive Deputy Chairman of DNeX.

“From our core IT and e-Services, we have further extended their capabilities to serve specific requirements of customers comprising authorities, agencies, and companies and the eWork Permit System is one such service,” he said.

This Web-based system, accessible at http://eworkpermit.dagangnet.com, allows data submission to the Immigration Department or any other relevant authority that manages foreign workers. Through its Rehiring Module, the system enables users – which can include both employers and appointed agencies - access to Notification of Approval on their application from the authority. Through its Deportation process, the system enables users submission of workers who are being deported.

The system is also built with verification process as prescribed by the authority, and allows integration with the authority’s own system. Also readily available are online reports and real time information to users thus providing convenience, and faster and improved processing.

MyCall Gateway is a recently acquired shelf company by DNeX, and has an authorised share capital of RM400,000. DNeX is also the process of transferring 49 per cent of equity interest of MyCall Gateway to a strategic business partner after which DNeX will remain at a controlling stake of 51 per cent of the enlarged share capital of MyCall Gateway.
