ANNOUNCEMENT: IMPLEMENTATION OF MALAYSIA MARITIME SINGLE WINDOW (MMSW) SYSTEM AT MALAYSIAN PORTS AND JETTIES

Reference is made to the above subject and the attachment.

Please be informed that as per the directive by the Marine Department of Malaysia (MDM), the MMSW system will be implemented at the selected ports and private jetties starting from 26th May 2025. MMSW is promoted by the Government of Malaysia via the Ministry of Transport, with aims to streamline the arrival and departure clearance of vessels in compliance with the FAL Convention 1965 under the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to all ports and private jetties nationwide.

NOTIFICATIONS FROM THE ROYAL MALAYSIAN CUSTOMS DEPARTMENT – BUDGET 2026

Please be informed that the Malaysia Budget 2026 will be tabled in Parliament on 10 October 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. To facilitate this process, please note that all duty and tax payments and release of goods at any legal place or private jetties will be temporarily suspended from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on 10 October 2025, except for perishable goods and personal carry-on items.
