Spotlight on Careline: Muhamad Norhafizuddin Yasin, Careline Executive


Tell us more about yourself

I graduated with a Degree in Business Administration from Universiti Teknologi Mara and a Diploma in Business Studies from Institute Professional Baitulmal. After graduation, I worked as a taxi driver for three years. I had multiple other jobs then before I applied for a position at Dagang Net Careline in 2017 and I have been here since then. I got married roughly a year after I got accepted the job and now blessed with one child.


Why did you choose to be a Careline executive?

I have had a different number of jobs in the past and it was my first time choosing Careline as a career. I began this career in 2017, hoping I could make a difference in my life.

It was a good opportunity for me to gain exposure in something I have not done before. I had to learn something new and true enough I got more than what I asked for.

This job has taught me a lot of things and one of them was on how to control my emotions when dealing with customers. Other than that, what makes this job really interesting is how you leave a positive experience for customers.


What was the memorable experience you had as a Careline executive?

There was this one time when I had to handle an angry and disgruntled customer. But I patiently did what I was taught to and at the end, I manage to leave the customer feeling good about the company.

Whatever the situation, the key has always been customer satisfaction. So for me, this experience of turning this angry customer into a happy one makes this job really fulfilling. I don't mind doing it again.


Do you think you will stay on in this career?

Definitely yes. Some may have the idea that being in Careline will not take you anywhere but trust me, this job really offers a clear growth path for someone planning to do customer service as a lifetime career.

Here, the company provides regular training for me to master the necessary skills needed to be excellent at customer service. It really helps, especially when it comes to controlling your emotions in dealing with difficult customers.

Also, at Dagang Net Careline, I have been blessed with kind and understanding bosses. They offer guidance I needed so I became good at what I do. I am so grateful.


In Summary

Customer service is an important job as it deals with the company's one of key stakeholders. The field requires continuous improvement in skills and competencies to ensure customers are well taken care of. This job can be fulfilling and is never monotonous nor boring.
