"Nowadays, people use their mobile phones for almost all purposes and soon, more graduates will be able to verify their academic certificates just at the touch of their fingertips. With this, it is hoped that Dagang eScroll can add value to their employment application," he said.

Zainal said efforts are ongoing to get more universities and other certificate providers to jump on board so that their graduates are able to use the mobile application of Dagang Net eScroll.

Already available on Google Play Store and through https://escroll.dagangnet.com/, Dagang Net eScroll has a unique signature and time-stamped certificate that can eliminate forgery unlike traditional paper-based documents.

It is an innovative blockchain-powered web application for employers, graduates, universities and training providers to authenticate academic and training certificates.

Every certificate is tagged with a QR code linked to the blockchain - a secure, immutable and incorruptible database. Issuing institutions keep a register of certificates on the blockchain represented by the QR code.

Authentication of certificates is done by simply scanning the QR code. Thus, the verification process is made simple and transparent.
