Dagang Net held an awareness programme on an online system developed for Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation ("STIDC"), aimed to improve its service delivery to timber industry players, government agencies and stakeholders throughout the state. The awareness programme was conducted in February in Bintulu, Sibu, Limbang and Miri and meant to get feedback from timber industry players, government agencies and stakeholders on the system.

Called STIDC Timber Industry Information System or STIS, the system comprises enhancement in terms of standard operating procedures and replacement to the existing system.

The system is currently in pilot testing with industry players and will be improved periodically before it is officially launched. It will also be linked to the Sarawak Forestry Corporation, Customs Office, Immigration Office and other relevant agencies.
