NOTIFICATIONS FROM THE ROYAL MALAYSIAN CUSTOMS DEPARTMENT – BUDGET 2026

Please be informed that the Malaysia Budget 2026 will be tabled in Parliament on 10 October 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

To facilitate this process, please note that all duty and tax payments and release of goods at any legal place or private jetties will be temporarily suspended from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on 10 October 2025, except for perishable goods and personal carry-on items.

If there are any changes to duty or tax rates for goods pending release after 4:00 PM, the new rates will apply as determined by the Royal Malaysia Customs Department (RMCD).

For further details, please refer to the attached circular from the Royal Malaysia Customs Department (RMCD).
