Kuala Lumpur, 9 April 2018 – Global Market eCommerce Sdn Bhd ("GMeC"), a wholly-owned subsidiary Dagang NeXchange Berhad ("DNeX"), has signed two memoranda of understanding to promote cross border trade of Halal products in the region.

Under the first memorandum of understanding ("MoU"), GMeC is working with Hub International Pte Ltd, which operates Pure Good Hub integrated cross border trading services for Halal products in ASEAN and China.

GMeC, which operates GoHalal eMarketplace, can provide the opportunity for its merchants to expand their market to Singapore through traditional supermarket channels and alternative Halal supply chain channels including convenient stores, food stalls, eateries, cafés, restaurants, and wedding caterers under Pure Good Hub’s network.

Alternatively, merchants under Pure Good Hub network can expand their reach into Malaysia through GoHalal eMarketplace and physical showcase.

Under the second MoU, GMeC is working with GM E-Commerce (M) Sdn Bhd, which operates the eHalal.com portal with network covering China, Taiwan and countries in Europe.

Both parties will undertake joint efforts in supplier resources exchange and promotion of Halal products through cross border e-commerce platform and offline cross border exhibition and sales centres.

The agreements were formalised in Kuala Lumpur recently where DNeX was represented by its Executive Deputy Chairman Datuk Samsul Husin and Executive Chairman of GMeC Dato' Mohd Nasaruddin Ahmad.

Hub International was represented by its Chairman Mr Desmond Foo, and Director Business Development and Operations Ms Shirley Chiu. GM E-Commerce was represented by its Director En Faharul Azman Ahmad Sabki.

"We are pleased to be working with Pure Good Hub and eHalal.com in initiatives aimed at promoting more cross border trade of Halal products. Through these partnerships, we hope to expand our reach in the Halal industry namely in key markets like ASEAN, China and Taiwan," said Datuk Samsul Husin.

GoHalal eMarketplace, which is accessible at www.gohalal.com.my, is taking the Halal industry online where companies or individuals can get suppliers or buyers for their products and services as well as obtain and exchange information on the industry within clicks.
