Cairo, Egypt, 14 January 2016 – Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”), through subsidiary Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd, will collaborate with United Arab Emirates-based Estemarat Services LLC to explore markets for DNeX services in the Middle East.

Under the collaboration, DNeX will serve as the solution provider for Estemarat in the provision of e-commerce services for Trade Facilitation as well as Radio Frequency Identification (“RFID”) solutions.

The two companies will first team up to undertake an assessment study with the Ministry of Transportation, Arab Republic of Egypt on the application and implementation of secure and latest smart technology systems and applications to improve coordination, integration and connectivity between the transportation sector and the rest of sectors in Egypt.

The Ministry of Transportation Egypt signed a memorandum of understanding with Estemarat for the company and DNeX to undertake the assessment study. At the signing held in Cairo, Egypt, Estemarat was represented by its Chairman Mr Khamis bin Salem Alsuwaidi, and the Ministry of Transportation Egypt was represented by Dr Eng Maged Soltan, the Minister’s IT Advisor. The signing was witnessed by Minister of Transportation Egypt HE Dr Saad El Geyoushi. Also present at the signing were Dato Roslan Ramli, Chairman of DNeX RFID Sdn Bhd, in representing DNeX, and Mr Abdel Rahim Al Raesi, Managing Director of Estemarat.

DNeX, through Dagang Net, currently operates Malaysia’s National Single Window, which facilitates electronic Customs related transactions and duty payments, and electronic document transfer between members of its trading community made up of manufacturers, importers and exporters, forwarders, shipping agents, terminal and port operators, banks, port authorities, permit issuing agencies and Customs.

Through a subsidiary of Dagang Net – DNeX RFID – DNeX provides a range of RFID solutions including RFID Warehouse Management System for real-time visibility of inventory and warehouse operations and RFID Asset Management System that enables accurate location of valuable assets and transit timing and condition, providing timely, sufficient information.
