ANNOUNCEMENT: MY-UAE CEPA COMES INTO FORCE FOR MALAYSIA

We are pleased to inform you that the Malaysia–United Arab Emirates Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (MY-UAE CEPA) will come into effect on 1 October 2025.

This agreement is Malaysia’s first free trade deal with a Middle Eastern country and provides preferential access for Malaysian exports to the UAE. From this date, exporters can apply for the Preferential Certificate of Origin (PCO) for goods sent to the UAE. Applications can be submitted via the ePCO system, and the application process is simple and follows the usual procedures for other free trade agreements.

DNeX appeals High Court’s decision on Dagang Net

Cyberjaya, 9 December 2025 – Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”), in consultation with its external legal counsel, has filed an appeal to the Court of Appeal against the High Court decision handed down on 5 December 2025 on its wholly-owned subsidiary Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd (“Dagang Net”).
