ANNOUNCEMENT: IMPLEMENTATION OF THE REGIONAL COMPREHENSIVE ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP (RCEP) FOR MALAYSIA

The announcement from MITI as per the attachment is referred.

Pursuant to Malaysia’s ratification of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement, the RCEP agreement will enter into force for Malaysia on 18 March 2022, joining 11 other countries that have completed the ratification process.

In line with this development, Malaysian exporters may utilise FORM RCEP for exportation to the 11 RCEP parties starting 18 March 2022.

Exporters may submit Cost Analysis (CA) for all 14 countries. Meanwhile submission for Certificate of Origin (CO) is only permitted for exportation to the 11 RCEP Parties except Indonesia, Myanmar and Philippines.
