ANNOUNCEMENT : ENTRY INTO FORCE OF THE COMPREHENSIVE AND PROGRESSIVE AGREEMENT FOR TRANS-PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP FOR THE REPUBLIC OF CHILE ON 21 FEBRUARY 2023

Reference is made to the attached announcement from Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).

The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement For Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) will enter into force for The Republic of Chile on 21 February 2023, where Chile will join the nine other signatory countries that have completed the ratification process.

Please take note on the following with regards to the enforcement:

1. All procedures of applying for the CPTPP remains the same as prior announcement.
2. Form CPTPP that has been approved with electronically affixed signature and official seal has to be printed on ISO A4 size white paper and exporter shall keep a copy of the Form for a period of no less than five years from the date of importation of the good in accordance with Article 3.26 of the CPTPP.
