ANNOUNCEMENT: UPDATE OF THE TARIFF RATES FOR EXPANSION OF THE SALES AND SERVICE TAX (SST) SCOPE

Please be informed that the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) in the preparation to update the tariff rates for the expansion of the Sales and Service Tax (SST) scope to be used in both Sistem Maklumat Kastam (SMK) and the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) systems. The tariff rate update will take effect from 1st June 2025.

ANNOUNCEMENT: UPDATE OF THE TARIFF RATES FOR EXPANSION OF THE SALES AND SERVICE TAX (SST) SCOPE

Please be informed that the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) in the preparation to update the tariff rates for the expansion of the Sales and Service Tax (SST) scope to be used in both Sistem Maklumat Kastam (SMK) and the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) systems. The tariff rate update will take effect from 1st June 2025.

In preparation of the above, please take note of the following:

Dagang Net have already instructed the business partners for their readiness to accommodate the requirements on their solutions to their users.

All declarations involving K1, K9, CSI, and CS9 are to use the PDK 2022 (10-digit tariff code) with the updated SST rates, effective from 1 June 2025.
