ANNOUNCEMENT: FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MALAYSIA MARITIME SINGLE WINDOW (MMSW) SYSTEM AT PORT KLANG - UPDATES

Below are updates in relation to MMSW Implementation,

1. Seamen Book

a. Please be informed that there is no requirement to upload a copy of the Seamen Book while preparing Inward Clearance.
b. MMSW system now allows keying in the Seamen Book reference number until further notice.

2. Physical Passport Submission

a. Please take note that for arrival clearance, passports are to be physically submitted to Immigration only after issuance of Pilot on Board.
b. For departure clearance, passports are required to be submitted to Immigration Department.
c. The requirement to submit passports physically to Immigration Department for arrival & departure will continue pending discussions between Ministry of Transport and Home Affairs Department.

3. Immigration Approval Process

a. Upon a discussion with Immigration Department, please be informed of the following approval process:

b. Based on the above process flow, Immigration approval will be given upon issuance of Pilot on Board by terminals.

4. Vessels performing bunkering

a. Please be informed that for all vessels performing bunkering, clearances are to be submitted through MMSW.
b. During SCN application, please ensure the terminal is selected as Northport (KPM01 & KCT01).
c. Northport will issue Actual Time of Arrival.

5. Amendment of Estimated Time of Arrival/Estimated Time of Departure (ETA/ETD)

a. Please be informed of the following points for amendments of ETA /ETD.
