Ref No: DNT/MITI/PCO/20220113-01

Dear Valued Customers,

Warmest greetings from Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd.

ANNOUNCEMENT: DECLARATION OF HS2022 IN THE PREFERENTIAL CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN (PCO)

The announcement from MITI as per the attachment is referred and is self explanatory.

To avoid any issue with the authorities of the importing country with regards to the implementation of the HS Code 2020, please find the following advice from MITI as the interim solution on the issue:

During the application of the CO, you are required to insert the following line at the Goods Description:

IMPORTING COUNTRY HS CODE xxxxxxxxxx (HS 2022)

where xxxxxxxxxx is the corresponding HS Code for the goods in the HS 2022 table (refer to the respective importing country’s Customs Authority).

However, the above interim solution is subject to acceptance by the Importing Authority. Exporters are responsible to ensure accurate Importing Country HS Code (HS 2022) is inserted in the Goods Description in the PCO, by referring to the correlation table between the current HS 2017 and the new HS 2022 (which could be obtained from the respective importing country’s Customs Authority).

Should you require more information & technical assistance, please reach out to our Careline at 1 300 133 133 or email careline@dagangnet.com.

Thank You.
