Kuala Lumpur, 18 August 2015 – Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”), through subsidiary company Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd, has been appointed by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department as the uCustoms Service Provider that will front the trade community by providing access to Trade Facilitation services.

As the uCustoms Service Provider, DNeX will front the trade community including importers, exporters, shipping agents, traders, manufacturers, forwarders, and warehouse and depot operators, by providing access to the uCustoms trade services through DNeXPORT Trade Facilitation Portal as uCustoms gateway.

Moreover, through DNeXPORT Trade Facilitation Portal DNeX will also be providing additional and value-adding services that can help companies and organisations leverage on e-commerce for improved processes and operational efficiencies. The appointment as the uCustoms Service Provider is for a continuous tenure subject to Certificate to Operate, which is renewable every two years.

“We would like to extend our appreciation to the Government of Malaysia namely the Royal Malaysian Customs Department for giving us the opportunity to serve as the uCustoms Service Provider,” said En Zainal Abidin Jalil, Group Managing Director of DNeX.

“Backed by more than 25 years of experience – in terms of knowledge, expertise and operational know-how – in offering e-commerce services for Trade Facilitation, we have the edge to fulfill our role as the uCustoms Service Provider. Taking on this role, we are also equally committed to contribute to efforts in increasing competitiveness of Malaysia’s Trade Facilitation and Logistics sector, and ultimately boost the country’s ranking as a trading nation,” he added.

He also said that DNeXPORT Trade Facilitation Portal will be the gateway to uCustoms, a fully integrated, end-to-end, Customs modernisation solution that delivers Single Window for goods clearance, an initiative lead by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.

DNeX’s offerings of value-adding services via the DNeXPORT Trade Facilitation Portal will include its recently launched myCargo2U, an all-in-one solution for cargo and trade management. Targeted at forwarding agents, freight forwarders, exporters and importers, myCargo2U offers end-to-end services for cargo and trade management from the point of data entry to Pre-Declaration, Declaration and Post-Declaration services.

myCargo2U enables real time visibility, analytics and management of cargo, its data and related cross-border B2G documentation within the supply and fulfillment chain. With myCargo2U, users will have the ease of an all-in-one solution for cargo and trade management, and data reusability across applications thus eliminating multiple data entry of trade information, allowing users to save time and reduce error associated with multiple data entry.

Another value-adding service to be available on DNeXPORT Trade Facilitation Portal is myTrade2Cash, a centralised online trade financing service aimed at providing timely and efficient electronic trade finance service for exporters, particularly those in the small and medium enterprise (“SME”) category.
