Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services ("MAQIS") has won the Gold award at the Malaysian Technology Expo 2019 for Public Service Innovation Awards 2019 ("PSIA 2019").

MAQIS won the award, presented by Chief Secretary to the Government Datuk Sri Dr Ismail Bakar, for its Integrated Information System: iMAQIS. The PSIA 2019 was appraised by judges appointed by the Malaysian Association of Creativity and Innovation.

An innovation introduced in iMAQIS is the implementation of quick response ("QR") codes to increase the level of security and authenticity of permits issued. Using QR codes, import and export permits can be efficiently and quickly authenticated. Currently, the integration between iMAQIS and ePermit will enable the QR Code to generate, download and scan permit from nine other permit issuing agencies.

Congratulations to MAQIS! It was indeed a great opportunity for Dagang Net to work with MAQIS in the system development of iMAQIS.
