Dagang NeXchange Berhad ("DNeX") has recently installed and commissioned a portable container system ("PCS") for petroleum products.
Located in Sabak Bernam, the PCS station is owned and managed by Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan Bernam Jaya and is currently operational and serving its community.
"We are happy with the development of this project as this is part of initiatives to expand contracting work in downstream sector leveraging on our expertise in delivering innovative engineered systems," said Datuk Samsul Husin, Executive Deputy Chairman of DNeX
Moreover, he said the PCS project provides DNeX with the opportunity in enabling supply of petroleum products to remote and under-served areas. The PCS is a self-contained modular fuel storage and dispensing unit.
"Both DNeX and our partner Petro Teguh (M) SdnBhd were initially faced with challenges in rolling out this project, which include site readiness and identifying the right proprietor of the PCS. But we believe that benefits the PCS can offer to the community in such under-served areas outweigh the initial challenges," he added.
