| Dagang Net Enhances its E-Business Hub
KUALA LUMPUR 3 Sept, 2003 - Local e-commerce portal Dagang Net said it has implemented Axway's integration broker solution to simplify international trade by delivering a single technology platform for its trading network.

Dagang Net said it annually handles about 48 million electronic transfers between members of its trading community, made up of manufacturers, banks, forwarders, and customs houses.
It is now working with Axway to enhance its network by using e-business Extensible Mark-up Language ( ebXML ) to make its network more accessible to a larger community, including SMEs (small and medium enterprises), whatever their level of technological sophistication.
Working with the Asean Secretariat (Customs) and Royal Customs Malaysia, Dagang Net, in collaboration with Axway, has initiated an ebXML training programme for customs officers from 10 Asean countries. .
"ebXML is a critical platform to automate trade facilitation in Asia, especially considering the density of SMEs which are key to the growth of the import and export business in Asia," said Dagang Net general manager Yong Voon Choon.
