What is ePCO?

The Electronic Preferential Certificates of Origin (ePCO) is a web-based Certificate of Origin application and approval system. It is an online document that certifies the country of origin of a particular product. The ePCO is intended solely to prove the origin of goods in order to satisfy Customs or trade requirements. It can be used also as supporting documents for the issuance of corresponding Certificate of Origin by another authorised party.

It provides other functions to users such as:

• Online application of Cost Analysis and Certificate of Origin forms.
• Online approval by authorised party (i.e. Ministry of International Trade and Industry - MITI).
• Online enquiry of application status.

The schemes available under ePCO:-

1) ASEAN Industrial Cooperation (AICO)
2) Common Effective Preferential Tariff (CEPT)
3) Free Trade Agreement (FTA)
4) Generalised System of Preferences (GSP)
5) TEXTILE

How can ePCO benefit me?

1) Single Access Point - enables a single access to both ePermit and ePCO application by signing-on once to the ePermit system.

2) Reduced turnaround time - immediate transmission of Certificate of Origin in a secure electronic environment, resulting in faster goods turnaround.

3) Real-Time track and trace - the capability and feature to track and trace the application status for the Cost Analysis and Ceritificate of Origin.

How do I start using ePCO?

You can obtain the registration form via www.dagangnet.com or from any Kedai EDI near you. Fill in the required information and send the original forms to Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd. Once your company's registration is verified, you will be informed.
